A date for your diaries 

Shifnal Choral Society will be rehearsing and  performing  Karl Jenkins’ mass ‘The Armed Man’ here on Saturday 28th February 2009. The rehearsal will start at 2.30 pm with a performance at 7.30 pm. They are inviting other choirs, members of the church and anyone interested to come and sing with them. Why not put the date in your diary now?

 

Day of Prayer 

Advent Prayer Vigil

Beginning 8 pm on Friday 5th

December with a short time of worship.  The Sanctuary will be open until 12 noon on Saturday 6th December.  There will be led prayers on the hour.

Everyone Welcome to drop in at anytime. 

 

Angel Making Workshop 

At Dawley Christian Centre on Sat. 6th & 13th December from 10.00 - 12noon.

Funeral 

The funeral of Mrs Millie McCleod will be in Church at 12 noon on Tuesday 2nd December then Cremation at Shrewsbury.  

Followed by refreshments in Church at 2 pm

 

Wellington Lions 

Will be holding their Carol Service in Church on Saturday 13th

December at 2.30pm

Christmas Organ Concert with audience carols 

Friday 19 December 2008 at 1.00 pm

Church open at 12.30 pm - Tea, coffee and soft drinks available. Bring your own lunch. 

The Concert will begin at 1.00 pm and will be of approximately ½ hour duration. 

Admission Free 

Donations towards the NSPCC and the Building Fund welcome.

 

Belmont Teas 

My thanks to all the helpers contributors and all who support the ‘Belmont Teas’.  This church mission continues year on year and is much appreciated by members of the Belmont Club.

Ladies Club 

The Ladies Club are inviting everyone to their open evening on Wednesday 3rd December at 7.30 pm. When we have Richard Bailey giving a talk entitled ‘The Good ,The Bad and The Ugly’

Richard is a well known personality who  is very humorous & interesting gentleman.

All are very welcome the cost will be £1.00 including a cup of tea or coffee.

 

Children & Young People 

Anyone interested in our work with Children and Young People are invited to a meeting on Tuesday 16th December at 8 pm in particular for a Children's Club for 2009

 

A Note from Gwen and Ilene 

We would be grateful for any help anyone could give us with the coffee morning on 6th December for the Lingen Davies Fund. Please see Gwen or Ilene if you can help.

 

Is there anyone out there who would…….? 

help with cleaning the sanctuary area on Friday or Saturday morning in preparation for Sundays? The carpet needs hovering, there is some dusting & the glass in the doors at the front of the church would need cleaning.

We now have church pens for sale - £1.00 each. Please see Tina

Advance notice.  On Friday December 12th we are holding a concert with ‘Of One Accord'.  Please find the time to come and hear this great group of singers.

 

Women's Network 

The DECEMBER Meeting will be on Tuesday the 9th at the usual time 2.30 pm.

Members are invited to take part with a reading, a short story, or choose a favourite hymn- preferably on a Christmas theme.

 

Please note:

THE CIRCUIT NETWORK ADVENT SERVICE will be held on Thursday 4th December at 2pm at Chapel of Christ  the King. Telford Town Centre.

ALL are welcome as “Network” involves everyone not only those who attend the monthly meetings at Wellington.  Your support would be much appreciated.
