Prayer

In one way, prayer is natural. It is the communication, spoken or unspoken, that builds the relationship between ourselves and God.

But in another way it is difficult to do because it is frightening to come into the presence of the living God. We usually prefer to follow any distraction than be still in God's presence.

Many Christians struggle with prayer, and it can help to have a structured way or time set aside. This time of stillness can then affect the rest of what we do.

The Methodist Church produces a Prayer Handbook each year. Using it, we can pray alone but know that many other people are praying with us and following the same themes.

For more details about the Prayer Handbook contact Barbara Murray
