Please Remember in your Prayers

Our young people in MAYC orchestra and singers who are away this weekend for a rehearsal.

Those who are unable to join us today those who are housebound in their own home, those in hospital or care homes.

Chaplaincy

We have lost two members of our team and will possibly soon be losing two more.  Is there anyone who feels able to fill these vacancies? Tina will be pleased to tell you what is involved. Please think about it as it is without the teams, patients in hospital would not be able to attend the chapel service.

Circuit Service

There is a Circuit Service at St. Georges on 28th January at 6.00pm. During which the presentation of the Disciple Certificate will take place.  Your support at this service would be appreciated.

Church Office Staff need your Help!

Can you spare us a few hours of your time on the odd occasion to cover for when Elaine (Centre coordinator) and Angela (Circuit Office Secretary)   take their annual leave. For more info please pop in to see us or call 250944

Report on Methodist Youth Conference (MYC) 2006

Last year Youth Conference was held in Norwich, and I was one of six delegates from our district to attend. MYC is an annual national event, designed to allow Young People to have a say in what direction the Methodist Church should be going in. Much of the discussion this year was dedicated to the future of MYC itself. The Methodist Youth Executive and a selected committee will meet before Methodist (full) Conference to decide what changes will be made to the current format.

We also agreed that more links need to be made between young people at a local level - this followed on from resolutions passed at MYC 2005, which resulted in my push for 'Embryonic' in October.

I am also hoping that 2007 will be an eventful year for Young People in Telford, with a pair of DVD evenings in March, and organised trips to Passion in Stoke, and Greenbelt in Cheltenham over the summer.

Anyone who is interested in lively Christian Music, do not hesitate to get in contact with me, the last two events are open to anyone who wants to come.

If you want more information about anything I've mentioned, just ask. Jonathan 01952 292684

Fire Safety

We are carrying out a fire risk assessment and are looking at potential problems in evacuating the church during a service. Apart from mobility issues do you have ( or know anyone who has) a disability that will require us to put special provisions in place.

Please pass this information on to Elaine. Thank you
