Visit from Mosley Road Methodist Church 16th November 2008

We are looking forward to welcoming Mosley Road Methodist Church.  They will be here for tea at 4.0 pm and then we will have a joint service, together with our friends from the Pentecostal Church on Tan Bank.  We do hope that as many people as possible will join us for tea and worship.  We have enjoyed their visits in the past and many of you will remember their Gospel group, Soul and spirit who made such an impression.

There is a list on the notice board by the kitchen and we would be grateful for any help you can give with food for catering.

Thank you

Drawing and Painting

TCAT have indicated that it might be possible to do an introductory drawing and painting course if anyone is interested.  Could you please let me know if you would like to take part in such a course and also the time of the day which would be most convenient for you (am pm or evening)?

Home Missions

Building Fund News

Please remember to look in the CHOCOHOLICS catalogue and order for Christmas.  Poplar items do sell out so to make sure you are not disappointed, don’t leave it too late.

Please put the catalogue back on the table when you have finished with it.

Christmas Fayre - Saturday November 29th

As you all know, this is a very important event in our  church calendar and all monies raised go to Church funds.  Can you help us with any donations to the stalls?

A list is on the boards which tells you what the stalls are and who you can give your donations to.

Please have a look and start looking out for anything suitable.

Many thanks, Tina

N.C.H

(now called Action for Children)

November is the time when League of Light boxes are opened & monies sent up to Headquarters.  I will once again be visiting all box holders other than those who prefer to bring their boxes and/or contents to Church.  I look forward to another successful collection.

Telford And Wrekin Arts Society

Are having an Art Exhibition in Church from Saturday 8th November to Thursday 13th November.  Paintings and Woodcarvings will be on display. Free to come and view.  Come and stock up for Christmas!

The Church Flowers

At the last Church Council meeting it was suggested that we tried to have fresh flowers or potted plants every Sunday to give to the sick and housebound people to show that we are thinking of them.

If you could help with either bringing a small made up flower arrangement a potted plant or a bunch of flowers it would be very much appreciated.

It would help if those who nominate any sick or housebound person could arrange delivery after the service as this has been a problem in the past.

There is a flower list on the board by the back door of the Church so if you wanted to do a special occasion or a date to suit you but otherwise just bring a small token any Sunday as there is always someone in our church who needs to be shown We Do Care

At the recent meeting we decided to ask people if they would provide the following for the Christmas banner.
