Volunteers required

There is a gentleman in a Nursing home who has come to Wellington from the South.  He was very involved in his home church and would like to be part of a church here.  Is there anyone who could take a turn in wheeling him to church?

This would not be every week but perhaps we could form a rota and maybe include other residents.  This would be a very worthwhile and fulfilling venture.

If you are interested, please see Tina

As you know, our coffee mornings are a great success but often the same people are called on to ‘help’

We are aware that several of you would like to become involved - not necessarily ‘regularly’ but occasionally.

If you would like to be a helper at a coffee morning - kitchen or serving, please put your name on the list by the kitchen and we'll get back to you.

We would be very grateful.

Building Fund News

Please remember to look in the CHOCOHOLICS catalogue and order for Christmas.  Poplar items do sell out so to make sure you are not disappointed, don’t leave it too late.

Please put the catalogue back on the table when you have finished with it.

N.C.H

(now called Action for Children)

November is the time when League of Light boxes are opened & monies sent up to Headquarters.  I will once again be visiting all box holders other than those who prefer to bring their boxes and/or contents to Church.  I look forward to another successful collection.

Banners

At the meeting on Monday evening we decided to ask people if they would

provide the following for the Christmas banner.

Lengths of gold and silver ribbon plain or sparkly not exceeding one inch in width and up to one metre in length.  We would appreciate these being supplied in the next two weeks.

Thanks very much

Girls Brigade

At our enrolment service a couple of weeks ago Harriet Copus and Christina Shaw were appointed as advanced Young Leaders.  This has taken them three years to achieve, with lots of training and hard work.

From here they are both starting their Officers Training, which will take

another two years to complete.  They have both worked very hard and would appreciate any help and support from the Church to enable them to succeed in becoming Officers.  Well done to them both.
