Thought for the day
Lord, may the doors of our homes be wide enough to receive those in need;
And narrow enough to shut out all envy and pride.
May each threshold be smooth enough to provide no stumbling block to children or straying feet.
Let the entrance be rugged and strong enough to turn back the tempter’s power.
May those who enter find the gateway to your eternal kingdom.
Amen.
Thomas Ken 1637 - 1711
