Prayer for today

As constant as the rhythm of day and night,

as invariable as the tide’s ebb and flow,

a love that is more immense than sky

and utterly dependable,

whether the skies are clear,

or the storm clouds threaten.

Undeterred by surface storms

your compassion runs deep,

dependable, inexhaustible,

seeking to draw all into your infinite love. Amen

The Methodist Prayer Handbook needs your prayers

Primavera Quantrill, the handbook editor, is looking for contributions for the 2010/2011 prayer handbook, which are inspired by parables.

The title of the handbook is God’s Open Word, and focuses on celebrating God’s word in our lives, and the Year of the Bible in 2011 (the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible).

Prayers should be 60-120 words long and should be submitted by 28 February at the latest.

Easter Promise

As part of our bi-annual promise to gift the PRH/RSH Maternity clothes for Prem/Newborn babies any such ‘gifts’ would be much appreciated by end march.

Thank you Shirley
