Lily Picken at present in residential care at Wrekin Nursing Home.  We hope that she will soon be home and among us again.

Also those who are unable to be with us today those who are housebound in their own home, those in hospital or care homes 

GODSPELL 

Connie and Grace are taking part in a production  of  Godspell  by  the Theatre of Gifted Youth at THE PLACE Oakengates on June 23rd at 7.30pm Tickets £8.50 Concessions £6.50 If anyone is interested in going  please see me as soon as possible so that I can make party booking.

Week of Prayer 

On 22nd 24th 25th and 26th May there will be a prayer Table in the Square. Volunteers are required to  man the table. More details to follow. 

Eco - congregation / Green Team 

Our first meeting will be held on Thursday 17th May after Food4Thought.  Around 1pm in the Fellowship room.  We can decide on a name, etc and prioritise our aims 

Organ Recitals 

Friday May 18th

Light refreshments available in church from 12.30 pm Concerts will start at 1.00pm and will last for approximately half an hour.

Admission is free but donations to the Building Fund will be welcome. 

Building Fund News 

Events coming up - Saturday May 19th at 7.30 pm a concert by ‘Of One Accord’ .They are a mixed voice group and will be singing a selection of favourite songs with audience participation.  

On Saturday June 2nd a concert with the Town Band.

Both events highly recommended. 

Soup Lunches If you are able to provide soup or a dessert for any lunch, please sign the list. 

The Ladies Club 

Has now closed its weekly meetings until September.  We shall still have a get together for a cup of tea and a chat the 2nd Wednesday in June, July and August at 7.30 pm. Location is still to be decided. 

Ascension Day 

There will be prayers in the Sanctuary from 9.00am - 9.00pm on Thursday 17th May.  Prayers will be led every hour on the hour and there will be Communion at 9.30 am 

Church Management

There will be a church management meeting on 25th May at 7.30 pm in the Ministers Office 

Primitive Methodist Celebration 

On Thursday 7th June 7.30 pm there will be a Circuit Primitive Methodist Celebration at Edgmond Methodist Church led by Revd. Peter Clarke to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the start of Primitive Methodism. 

Award and Display evening 

The Boys and Girls Brigade would like to invite you to their Annual Award and Display evening on Tuesday 22nd May at 6pm.

Please come along and join us to see what has been going on over the past year. 

50p to include refreshments 

Saturday Afternoons 

If you need to come into church on a Saturday between 2 and 5 pm please ‘sign in’ with the contact centre.  This ensures the safety of their children as well as the security of our building.  Many thanks for your co-operation.
