Thought for the day

Flood our lives with your grace, O Lord.

Fill our whole being with your radiance,

our innermost souls with your presence, and our very wills with your strength. Let us shine with the light of Christ, let us preach by example and let us  carry  nothing in our hearts but your love; through Christ our Lord.

Amen

John Henry Newman

Mid week Communion

communion service every Thursday at 9.30 am

Webb Ivory

It’s that time of year again to let your fingers do the walking!  The Webb Ivory catalogues are available on the table by the door in church. Please take one and help me raise funds for the church.

House Group Advance Notice

Peter Clarke will be leading a Bible Study on the theme ‘The Body of Christ’ on 8th, 15th, 22nd October at the House Group held at the home of Diane and John Parkin. Please book these dates in your diary.

All are welcome.

Guild

The Guild plus a few friends had an evening out at the Coalport China Museum on Thursday.  The weather was not kind to us and it was cold. However despite the rain we had an enjoyable time. We learnt all about how bone china was made, right from the clay to the finished article. Very interesting, we were even able to try our hand at the painting of china. All this was due to the expert help of Denis Noble. We thank her most sincerely also to Kate the lady who taught us how to paint the flowers. We mustn’t forget Ben who organised the evening and the drivers of the cars who drove us on such a bad night.

Thank you everyone.

Guild Members

Building Fund News

It’s chocoholic time again.  Catalogues are available now. Please take one to look at.  We have a limited number, so could you please return them as soon as you have finished with them.

On Saturday October 18th we are having a coffee morning with a BIG CAKE STALL.  This can only be successful if we have lots of cakes to sell.  Would you consider making us a big cake or some small ones?

We would be very grateful.

Chocolate wrappers

Please save your Fairtrade chocolate wrappers so they may be passed on to Kim Fitzwarine-Smith at Broseley Methodist.  She is collecting them for presentation to Cadburys by some of the Wolverhampton circuit.
