Prayer Meeting 

The monthly Prayer Meeting will take place next Sunday 18th January at 9.45am in the Ministers Office.  All are most welcome. If you have any special requests for prayers please let Mary Lewis know on 255558.  A new rota of meetings will be placed on the notice-board shortly.

 

Home Missions 

Please would all Home Mission Box - Holders return their boxes to Chris Lewis for opening as soon as possible. Thank You

 

Sponsored Cycle Ride 

This will take place on Monday 13th April ( Easter Monday) . If you would like to take part lease fill in a registration form , you may cycle for morning or afternoon or complete the full route. Money raised will go to Komera project

 

Big ‘O’ party 

We are hoping to organize a party for anyone who has a special birthday ending in ‘0’

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 

From Monday 19th January until Saturday 24th there will be daily prayers in the Sanctuary at 8.30 pm

  

Christmas Decorations 

Thank you to all who prepared and removed the Christmas decorations this year.  It was a great team of people and you did a wonderful job.

 

Christmas Collection for MRDF 

I am delighted to report that the collections taken on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for the Methodist Relief and Development fund amounted to £354.73.  This is a marvellous  result  and a  reflection  once again of the  generosity of so many of our Church family and friends. £159 of this total was given under Gift Aid so there will be a further cheque in due course from the Tax Rebate.

Ladies Group 

are having Gabrielle who is known nationally to sing and play the ukulele including some George Formby music.  This event is open to all and is on Wednesday January 14th.

Churches Together 

On Sunday 25th January 2009, we are hosting the Churches Together A.G.M at 5 pm followed by a service at 6.30pm, it is usual to serve drinks and a piece of cake on peoples arrival, so if you feel you could bake a cake or buy some to help with this could you please let Catherine Stones know as soon as possible, it would be good if they can be brought to Church on the Sunday morning, Many thanks Catherine.

 

Banner Making 

A Banner meeting will be held after Banner Fund Raising coffee morning on

24th January.

World Church Coffee Morning 

The world church coffee morning last Saturday raised a total of £130. Special thanks to all who helped on the morning and all of you  who  supported this event.

Self Denial Appeal 

Each year the Methodist Church holds a Self Denial  Envelope Appeal when we are asked to give as generously as possible to support the work of our partner churches overseas. The money raised helps to provide grants as well as general support for the churches. Your giving can be greatly increased if you are able to gift aid your donation. Please fill in your details on the back of the envelope.
