N.C.H

I am pleased to report that the total amount in this years’ League of Light boxes is £656.12p.  This is an excellent result and although slightly down on last year is because we have lost three very generous box holders through death and removal.

My thanks to all box holders for their continuing support and generosity and as always, I would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like a box.  I have several just waiting for a good home.

Shirley Jones - N.C.H Box Secretary.

Building Fund News

First of all can we say congratulations and many thanks to Shirley Baker who has been raising funds through her many cross stitch items.  Her total has now reached a fantastic £1,000 for which we are very grateful.

The raffle for the Bolton Wanders signed football shirt will not take place because we have found a buyer.  A great fan of the club has given us £100.  More great news.  The Christmas chocoholic raffle will be taking place shortly.  Make sure you get your tickets from Tina.

Christmas Cards

If you wish to send a Christmas card to all your Church friends - instead of individual ones - please write it and give it to Tina who will display it for you.

A donation to the Building Fund would be much appreciated.

Christmas Collection

The collections at the Christmas Eve Communion Service and on Christmas Day will be given to the Methodist Relief and Development Fund.

MRDF works closely with other charities helping the hungry and homeless as well as supporting on - going health, training and educational projects.

Please be as generous as you feel able and for those wishing their donation to benefit from Gift Aid, envelopes are available in Church.

Just ask one of the Stewards or myself.

Shirley Jones - Social Responsibility Secretary.

Congratulations and best wishes to Ron and Ilene Haynes who will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on 15th December
