Newsletter
It would be good to hear from those running week to week groups within the church of their activities and achievements besides those items already submitted for inclusion
Christian Aid
There will be a tea party for Christian Aid on 19th September at the home of Jill & Ron Childs, 93 Marton Drive from 3.30pm to 5pm. Drop in any time for a cuppa and maybe a slice of home made cake! You will be very welcome.
World Church Meeting - Telford Circuit
At Oakengates United Church On Thursday 11th September at 7.30 p.m.
An opportunity to hear from the young people who have been on the Youth trip to Rwanda.
Please make a real effort to support our young people at this meeting.

Lunchtime Organ Concerts
The last in this summers series of Lunchtime Organ concerts will be on Friday 12th September
‘ Keyboard magic’ with Anne Clark, Jade Harris and Michael Davey
Church open at 12.30 p.m. with light refreshments available. Concert will begin at 1.00 p.m. and will be for approximately ½ an hours duration.
There will be a retiring collection in aid of the Building Fund
Home Missions
On Sunday 7th September there will be an envelope collection in aid of Home Missions .Please give generously to aid the work of Home Missions which includes Rural and Urban Mission, circuit grants for Mission and Ministry, Cliffe college, Youth Initiatives, Chaplaincies, Interfaith relations etc.

Prayer Handbook 2008/9 Living Fire
Copies of the new Prayer Handbook are now available from Barbara Murray price £2.75. This is an excellent handy book of daily prayer which can be used for personal prayer or for use on other occasions such as meetings.
A new events list is now available. Please take one from the pocket on the board.
The Mystery Trip will be on the afternoon of Sunday September 14th. We will leave the car park from 2.30. The cost will be £2.50 per person and drivers will receive £4.00 towards petrol. You are invited to stay for an evening service at our host church, if you wish. Please sign your name on the list if you are coming.
