Thought for the Day

God makes himself known in so many ways,

In the starshine of night

In the sunshine of days

In the voice of a friend when you pick up the phone

In a letter that comes when you’re feeling alone.

In the smile of a stranger you happen to meet,

In a cheery “Hello” that you hear on the street

In the peace of a church

In the depth of a prayer,

God makes himself known to us,

He’s everywhere

Webb Ivory

It’s that time of year again to let your fingers do the walking! The Webb Ivory catalogues are available on the table by the door in church. Please take one and help me raise funds for the church.

Craft and Chat

Everyone is welcome to our next meeting when we will  have  a  demonstration of Blackwork with  an   opportunity   to   try   for  ourselves.  Don’t know what Blackwork is?  Why not come along and find out?  If you don’t want to do any craft then you are welcome to just sit, watch and of course chat!

Linking our ‘Green Policy’ to ‘Craft & Chat’

We would love it if you can rummage through  your  unfinished projects of cross-stitch, tapestry etc so that others can finish them off to sell  at  the  Christmas Fayre or  on  a  coffee  morning to raise funds for the church. We’d be recycling such projects while at the same time you may spot someone else’s unfinished project and fancy doing it!

Pass any on to any of our Craft & Chat Members

A new events list is now available.  Please take one from the pocket on the board.

It’s chocoholic time again.  Catalogues are available now.  Please take one to look at.  We have a limited number, so could you please return them as soon as you have finished with them.

On Saturday October 18th we are having a coffee morning with a BIG CAKE STALL.  This can only be successful if we have lots of cakes to sell.  Would you consider making us a big cake or some small ones?  We would be very grateful.

Unfortunately, the concert by Telford Chorale on October 11th has had to be postponed.  We hope to fix a new date.

Operation Christmas Child

Our 150 boxes last year were part of 1.3 million sent from the U.K to children in the midst of wars,  natural  disasters and  extreme poverty.

Please can you help us again either with a box or items to go in the boxes and support our coffee morning on 11th October.  Leaflets are available from today and are on display.

Cleaning/flower Room

In order to safe guard all children who come into the building week by week we need to keep the above room locked.  A key has been provided above child height on a hook by the door.  Will you please make sure that you lock the door and return the key when you have finished.

Thank you for your cooperation
