MICHAEL DAVEY with JULIE SMITH (flute)
Seemingly the only organist who can play in two places at once, Michael has
recently retired after twelve years as organist at Birmingham Parish Church.
He now puts all his effort into this action-packed programme together with his neighbour, Julie, who is a member of our congregation.

Open House for Rwanda
Just a reminder of the
Open Day at 18, Albert Road on Wednesday this week. You are most welcome between
10am - 12 noon, 2.30pm - 4.30pm and
7pm - 9pm. Coffee/tea and biscuits £1.There will be Bring and Buy, Cake and
Plant Stalls.
Donations for any of these would be very welcome. Many thanks
to all those who have volunteered to help serve drinks and look after the
stalls.
All proceeds towards the Rwanda Appeal.

Life in the Spirit Seminar
16 - 19 OCTOBER 2009
The Seminar is being led by a team from the U.S.A (mostly from North Carolina) and
B & B is needed for them (Friday and Saturday) There are 11 in the party, they have paid their own way here and the Seminar is free of charge.

TCAT Courses - French and Art
In September, the Monday evening art course and the Thursday afternoon French will continue for ten weeks as each group will do a First Steps Course. If you would like to join one of these courses even though you have not done the taster, then please contact me for more details. Barbara

Some people have asked me about studying Spanish or German. If you are
interested in a taster course in either of these languages then please contact me in the office.
We hope to be able to run another ‘Computers for the Terrified’ on Friday mornings starting on Friday 9th October.

Cleaning/flower RoomIn order to safe guard all children who come into the building week by week we need to keep the above room locked. A key has been provided above child height on a hook by the door. Will you please make sure that you lock the door and return the key when you have finished.

Puppet Training Day
On Tuesday August 25th some of the
Emmaus Crew and other interested people are planning to spend a day at East
Didsbury Methodist Church in Manchester, where they are holding a puppet Training Day. If anyone else is interested or would like more details then please give your name to Connie Parkin or Barbara Murray.
If anyone would be willing to help us with car transport to Manchester, then please contact Barbara as soon as possible. We will gladly pay fuel costs.

Tuesday Afternoon Art group
Those who have attended the Tuesday group all seem to have enjoyed the course and you will have seen the fruits of their work on the boards around the hall. It would be good if the group could continue in some form. Showstoppers
Many thanks to all those who have helped in anyway to make this week's holiday club 'Showstoppers' such a
success. All the children seem to have enjoyed themselves which is very
