An opportunity to see the video of when Leon received his MBE at Buckingham Palace.

Building Fund News

If you were not able to make the open garden at the home of kay and Dennis Noble, don’t fret.  They have very kindly agreed to open their garden again on Sunday 8th.  This is at 7 Dean Close, Priorslee.  The garden will be open from 2.00-4.00 pm. Entrance including tea/coffee and biscuits will be £1.50.  There will be plants for sale and you can pot your own seedlings.  If you are not sure where to go, the directions are on the board.  Please take one from the packet.

Can we please ask you to be looking out for anything we can sell at the Garden Party on June 28th including Tombola prizes.  If anyone has a gazebo we can borrow can they please let us know.  Thank you very much.

Emmaus Crew

Thank you to all who supported our coffee morning last Saturday.  We raised £90 profit for a project we hope to help with in Africa. 

Ladies Club

There will a meeting on Wednesday 4th June at 7.30pm for a social gathering and there will be a Bring and Buy stall.

Mission ‘008

Beyond the Impossible in partnership with Cliff College

Inside this week’s newsletter you will find a leaflet outlining some of the programme and news about the mission which will be running from 13th-22nd June around the circuit.

We do hope that as many people as possible will support the events.

Circuit Meal This will be here at Wellington on Friday 13th June at 7.00pm. We need an idea of numbers for catering so please sign the list on the notice board by the kitchen or give your name to one of the stewards.

Barbecue and Barn Dance at Dawley Christian Centre on Saturday 14th 6.00-9.00pm.Tickets available from Chris Lewis.

Café Worship here at Wellington on Sunday 15th at 7.30pm

Organ Recital

The next recital will be on Friday 13th June and will be given by Francis Murton from Wrekin College. Please remember to put this date in your diaries. 

Sunday Lunch 

Thank you to all who support the Sunday lunches which are held the first Sunday of each month after the service.  Starting this Sunday, lunch will consist of baked potatoes and fillings plus the usual desserts.  Please sign on the notice board if you can help with some food.  If you haven’t stayed before, why not join us?  All are welcome and there is no need to book.

We are located centrally between the Peak district and Sherwood Forest, 4 miles from Chesterfield, and about 3 miles from the M1, Junc. 30 and we would be pleased to reciprocate and welcome you here. We have quite a few ’houses/halls and a castle’ and gardens/parks within 30 to 40 mins. Drive.

Rwanda Youth Trip

We have been given two tickets for the Severn Valley Railway for return travel between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster.  If you would like to make an offer for these tickets then please put your bid in a sealed envelope and hand it in to the office before 7th June 2008.  All money raised will go to the project.
